The Power of Bioactives

We identified gut health as a health benefit with strong consumer need and pointed Forager® to nature to find new solutions, first defining HNF4⍺ as target receptor for gut health.

Forager identified NCT & NFT as effective in acting upon HNF4⍺ for gut permeability and gut barrier function.

We surveyed hundreds of plant sources and identified hemp hulls as the most abundant source of NCT & NFT, along with their significant source of insoluble dietary fiber.

Next, we analyzed more than 20 common fibers and none were found to have detectable amounts of NCT & NFT.

We confirmed the health effect of NCT & NFT on gut barrier through preclinical studies and currently fielding human clinicals to further validate the health effect of these bioactives.
